The movie has named female characters but they never talk to each other and in fact the speaking female characters are rarely in the same room as other women. The only time we get close to seeing two women talk together is when Jeanie is giving birth and the doctor keeps calling her name as she bleeds out, but Jeanie doesn’t respond or when Officer Tabitha is told to watch Lockhart’s daughter, Amy. But neither of them speak to each other at all.
