The two lead characters are both female characters. They are minors (17), who were once friends but drifted apart. One discovers that she is pregnant, and doesn't feel comfortable telling her new circle of friends. She decides to get an abortion, but cannot get one in her home state without her parents knowing because she's a minor. She asks her ex-friend for help in driving to another state. On the way, they get into a lot of shenanigans and talk about why their friendship drifted apart, their futures, relationships, their secrets, their families, and why women should have more reproductive rights.
