The movie follows Cyd and her Aunt, Miranda. They have numerous conversations about a lot of topics: literature, sexuality, family ... They do talk about men but that's far from the only thing their conversations entail. They are the main part of the plot, and so the movie is a great portrayal of interesting women with their own amazing personalities.
