As the film is about Luce who is a man and most of the characters talk mainly about him; there's a number of scenes where his teacher Harriet Wilson (played by Octavia Spence) and her sister Rosemary Wilson (played by Marsha Stephanie Blake) talk although briefly about numerous things, and only mention him a couple of times.
