Soni, a young policewoman in Delhi, and her superintendent, Kalpana, have collectively taken on a growing crisis of violent crimes against women. However, their alliance suffers a major setback when Soni is transferred out for alleged misconduct on duty.

The film deals with the professional relationship between the junior policewoman, Soni, and her mentor, Kalpana, in the patriarchal and misogynistic context of Delhi in particular and India at large. Kalpana sees in Soni a policewoman with her heart in the right place but raw enough to get into trouble.

The film passes the test because the film is centered on this relationship. Their conversations and issues are about their profession and day-to-day issues on the job.
