*^ (This film is not about homophobia, more so about country isolation and racism.)
As with 'Fire Island', Beschdel themselves passed the movie. This glorious movie focuses extremely on a relationship between 2 male characters. It does pass the test.
For starters, the film is about two gay men and centres on particular themes pertinent to the closeted environments we often forget gay men in rural areas struggle to thrive in.
It's as prohibitively about the story of two men as 'Below Her Mouth' is of two women.
I propose that this rating be dismissed on grounds of ineligibility.
