This movie just barely passed the bechdel test. The only time two named women spoke was in a scene from early on where Karine was locked/quarantined in the medbay by Faris and she was asking to be let out. No other part in the film had two female characters speaking to each other.

I say the movie passed. The scene was brief, but it had two named characters talking about something that certainly wasn't a man (escaping from quarantine). There were plenty of other scenes where women talked to each other, but it was as part of a larger group discussion, which included men.

This movie completely passed. 2 named female characters spoke about landing and communication difficulties when shuttle was landing on planet.

I think this film passed the test. Did Upworth and Maggie Faris briefly talk about communication difficulties? And perhaps Karine and Maggie also talked to each other when Karine was quarantined.

At 32:17, Upworth and Faris discuss the uplink and communucations issues.

I have to disagree with the other two posters who reference the quarantine scene: There was indeed a scene at 47:46 where two women discus quarantine, but I don't think that's pass since it's pretty clearly in reference to Ledward.

It's a moot point since the test is binary, and any one instance of it passing is enough to pass, so I think the rating is wrong.
