The film has two major female characters. They mainly have separate scenes, but speak very briefly, basically just greeting each other. One of the female characters also has a slightly longer (but still brief) conversation with another woman, who is named only as "Contessa", in which they discuss the Contessa's diet of champagne and caviar.

The movie passes. Although it could use a bit more female interaction (and diversity), I think it does generally well with the portrayal of the female characters. The two main female characters are beautiful but not sexualised, and they make the calls on their relationships. Even if they are attracted to the male leads, they don't let that clouds their personal plans at all. It is also great to have a female big bad.

While I have hoped to see Gaby in more action scenes, it is good that she contributes to the mission instead of being only a pawn or the damsel. [SPOILER] In fact, the good guys only win because of her suggestion. [SPOILER]

The blatant sexy shot of the side female characters annoyed me a little though. At least, it is very clear that she sees the male lead as an one-night-stand as well. (Which is less annoying than some films that show the seduced females becoming smitten with the guys who clearly only see them as one-night-stands.)

The film just barely passes as it has only a 5-second scene where two women greet each other and that's it. Every other scene in the movie is either men talking or men talking to women. That said, this film is actually more feministic than most. The villain is female and while she is very elegant and beautiful, her main quality is her intelligence, not her looks. Also, [SPOILER] one of the two male leads gets her into bed not with his looks but with his pickpocketing abilities and suave-ness. Besides the villain and the two (hot) male leads the other main character is Gaby, a very pretty and petite woman who is very influential to the plot, and much more than just "a girl," albeit she has many scenes one of the male leads that are extremely full of sexual tension, and has a scene where she struts in dresses. Overall this film set in the '60s is more appealing to a feminist than most movies with male stars.

This movie, in spite of the title being male-focused, has fantastic feminist underpinnings- a woman is the villain, and described as "a lethal combination of beauty, brains and ambition". The other main character female is depicted as frequently more capable than the men, and in fact is revealed to be cleverly playing them. There are several conversations among women (although one does involve dieting as a plot pivot).
