I agree with Ray, that scene is a clear pass, however short the exchange may be. The characters' disdain for each other is clearly something besides a man.

They may say a few lines to each other that are not about men, but the conversation is ultimately about Ted.

Saying a few non-men related lines in this context does not pass the test. Such a narrow reading of the Bechdel rules would lead to a conversation like this--"What do you think of the weather?" "It's really hot. Just like that guy."--to pass just because the weather is briefly mentioned.

Okay, re-watching the scene it seems that only one of the two says something to the other that's not at least partly about a man (Lori addresses Ted when she talks about Tammy-Lynn for some reason), so it probably isn't a pass. But I want to say as a general principle that the test is *meant* to be read narrowly, i.e. as meaning exactly what it says. Most of the reason that the test resonates has to do with the realization of how few movies pass even such an extraordinarily weak test. There's no need to fudge the numbers by making the test stronger than its words indicate. So, yes, that weather conversation would be a very clear pass.

Agreed, the conversation at dinner should definitely let the movie pass.
