Throughout the movie, there are 4 main characters who are all women. They all talk to each other and you kind of forget that there is little to no men talking.

All of the main characters are women—two young girls, their step mom Jessica, and an older woman who helps them find the entity. They share many conversations about their relationships, mental health, Alice’s imaginary friend, and the entity that Gloria is researching.
