I think this movie does pass the test. There's a scene in this movie where Tina is talking to a friend she hasn't seen in a while that used to perform with her and Ike. They discuss Buddhism and chant together. Though most of Tina's problems stem from her abuse from Ike Turner, her friend is teaching her how to heal herself.
