The one Bechdel moment here is at the outset, when the victim Clara and her friend Nanie exchange before Nanie sets off home. Subsequently it's a male crime being investigated by a bunch of men - although encouragingly, the film actually points out this incoherence, using the words of the single female police officer involved in the second investigation (yup, in the initial one there are no women at all).

It is a very masculine movie, but this presence is often questioned, which makes the movie very interesting
